Distinctive Homes Company History

     In the fall of 1995, Mark Kilbarger decided it was time to make his dream of owning his own custom home building company come true.
     Mark had previously managed a very successful office for a builder that had decided to call it quits. Not only was he now out of a job, so was the rest of the staff. Mark approached the other employees with the idea of starting his own company. They each agreed to stay and help start the company. He bought the assets (model home, vehicles, the rights to floor plans and office equipment from other branches) from his former employer.
     Distinctive Homes Inc. became a reality in January of 1996. We are a custom home builder specializing in "on your lot" residential homes. Our homes come in many different sizes, styles and prices and we are constantly adding new house plans to our inventory. We also offer assistance with site preparations. We currently build in 13 counties.
     As we continue to grow, the staff here at Distinctive Homes Inc. is committed to working together as a team. We take great pride in our professionalism and our working relationships with each other, our subcontractors, and our customers to make sure your home building experience is a pleasant one.
